Music of film Acharya based on Nepali singer’s life released

GANGTOK, August 10:

The music of ‘Acharya’ a feature film based on a real life story of famous Nepali singer Bhaktaraj Acharya was released in Sikkim’s capital Gangtok on Wednesday.

The movie is a silk route production owned by Roshan Rai, directed by Prashant Rasaily, Music by Bhaktaraj Acharya (original sound tracks). The release program was attended by Area MLA Dorjee Namgyal as the chief guest where as the guest of honor was Mayor GMC KN Topgay along with former Minister DD Bhutia, Deputy Mayor Shakti Singh, and Vishal Chamling.

While addressing the release function the chief guest said that ‘Acharya’ film is the present favorite of the people of the State. He also added that the present Government is keen on uplifting the standard of Nepali movies from Sikkim and hence has been helping such ventures in all possible ways. He also added that the tax paid by the film makers while making of their film are not refunded to them. However the movies that are shot in the State also portray the natural beauty of the State which helps in its promotion. He also informed that considering this aspect the matter will also be raised in the Assembly for lifting tax on movies.

Mr. Topgay in his address said that to produce a film like Acharya takes guts as not many viewers are attracted by documentary movies. Whereas DD Bhutia wished luck to the film makers for the success of the movie.
The director Mr. Rasaily stated that the movie is made in the most sincere, simple manner but technically the film is advanced. He also thanked the crew members of the film for making the venture a success.

Mr. Roshan Rai in his address said that as a producer it is his debut film and stated that the making of Acharya has enhanced his knowledge and in future he will be producing more such movies from the state of Sikkim. Informing more Mr. Rai added that Silk Route production house was started in the year 2009 to produce best of the best films from Sikkim along with to give platform to the fresher artist of Sikkim in the film sector. The movie was made with a budget of Rs. 1 crore. 20% of the movie was shot in Sikkim, 40% at Dooars and remaining at Kathmandu, Nepal.

The lead role in the movie is preformed by Satya Raj Acharya the eldest son of Bhaktaraj Acharya who is also a singer whereas the lead actress is Ms. Aruna Kari from Nepal.

    brilliant movie. yesterday i saw this movie. i really like this movie. The must heart touching scene was noone came to meet Bhakta Raj Acharya, when he was disable to sing a song and he was waiting for his friends seeing through the window but he was disappointed. Anyway he was so lucky person that he has a betterhalf like her and two son satya-swarrop. Because of their devotion he has got a new life with full of happiness.

    Furthermore i want to say one more thing, because of that deceiver and drunker his life was spoil in singing sector, may be he is also seeing this movie and i want to say that god is seeing from there and “Paap ra Punya ko hisab yehi prithivi mai hunchha” so you must pay for this.

    “Aljhein kahin ta ke bho, bato bhuleko chhaina, bhanchi sakeko biswas pheri palayera aaunchha………..” once my friend told me this, and from this i also want to say him that your struggle is nothing by comparing with others.
