Sikkim: Coordination meeting of Heads of all Departments held

Gangtok, November 4, 2011:

A coordination meeting of the Heads of all the Departments was held at Chintan Bhawan, Gangtok under the chairmanship of the Chief Secretary on November 4, 2011.

The meeting estensively discussed all the schemes of the state government and reviewed the schemes being implemented in each district. The Chief Secretary during the meeting directed the Heads of Departments to submit the status report on the schemes and projects undertaken by various departments sanctioned by the Chief Minister during the 42 days village to village tour and passed by the State Legislative Assembly within a week. He also directed the Heads of the Departments to submit a status report on all the temporary restoration works being carried out and complete the Detail Project Report of all the damages of infrastructure and its maintainence and submit to the office of the Chief Secretary by 10th of November 2011.

The Chief Secretary also informed the heads of Departments with regard to the meeting which was held with eighteen banks and RBI during which grant of soft loans and extending moratorium period for EMI’s to the earthquake victims was discussed. He also asked the departmental heads to be quick and meticulous in disposing off all the proposals in the interest of the public at large and check the attendance of the fellow employees.The meeting also discussed in detail about the inauguration of Siddhesvara Dham in South Sikkim which is scheduled for 8th of November 2011.
