Sikkim: NHPC helping the State schools

As part of NHPC’s commitment towards Community Development, NHPC Limited, Teesta-V Power Station on Friday provided school furniture and IT related items to the Govt. Secondary School, Makha and Govt. Primary School, Dipudara worth of Rs. 4.5 lacs.

The items include two Seater attached desk-benches for students, chairs and tables for teachers, visitors’ chairs, almirahs, file cabinets, computer tables, computers and printers for Govt. Secondary School, Makha and computer, printer and computer table for Govt. Primary School, Dipudara.

The items were handed over by D. Chattopadhyay, Chief Engineer (I/c), Teesta-V Power Station to the Principal, Govt. Secondary School, Makha and Govt. Primary School, Dipudara respectively in presence of A.K. Choudhary, Chief Engineer (C) and R.K. Verma, Manager (HR), NHPC Ltd. Speaking on the occasion Chattopadhyay expressed his sincere gratitude to the locals and State administration for their continuous support and reiterated the commitment of NHPC to shoulder the responsibility towards the welfare of people and State under CSR-CD initiatives in future also.

Lastly, the Principals of Govt. Secondary School, Makha and Govt. Primary School, Dipudara expressed their gratitude for the support rendered by NHPC for the up-gradation of education level in the area.
