Sikkim: Rhenock Khamdung JHS conducts SMC and Guardian meets

Gangtok: 5 May, 2012

Rhenock Khamdung Jr. High School, East, under Regu BAC organised a School Managing Committee cum Guardian meeting on 3rd May 2012, Thursday at the school. The meeting was presided by Chador Bhutia, Assistant Director, HRDD/ BAC Regu.

The meeting was attended by Assistant Director, CRC Coordinator, Resource Person, BAC Regu, Puja Khatiwada , Headmaster   and staff of the school and Sanskrit pathsala along with Panchayats, SMC members and Guardians. Hari Chettri, Headmaster of the school gave the warm welcome speech. He placed the basic requirement of the school like drinking water supply, lab for Science, Math and Social Science, Library Room and books, Computer for Students, in his speech.

Krishna Pd. Dawari, CRC Coordinator, HRDD/BAC Regu made aware about CCA, RTE to the gathering.  He also made aware about special training for dropout and out of school children to continue them in school system. Panchayat Secretary, N B Chettri in his speech said to bring children in a right track proper guidance of parents is equally important.

Headmaster, Sanskrit Pathsala, KP Poudyal, placed the problem of pathsala land and building and poor enrolment of students. As the Pathsala is shifted and presently running attached with Khamdung JHS. The meeting was also address by Bhagwat Rimal as a parent’s representative.

Chador Bhutia, Assistant Director, express his happiness about the performance of the school. He informed about various Scholarship Schemes and  made aware about quality of Mid Day Meal, Display of MDM logo, maintenance of MDM menu, civil work under SSA and RMSA, different schemes under SSA and RMSA, Inclusive Education and Academic & administrative related  matters  to the gathering.

During the meeting SMC member, H.N. Acharya, gave his consent regarding Sanskrit Pathsala land if the pathsala is able to hike enrolment of pupils.  The programme concluded with the vote of thanks by, Mrs. T T Sharma Teacher of the school.

After the Programme Assistant Director, Resource Person and CRC coordinator attended a brief Staff meeting held in the Staff room and different academic related problems were discussed. Assistant Director also addressed the students in the afternoon assembly.
