Sikkim eyes home stay tourism in the villages

Singtam, 13 June 2012:

The people of the Rabdang and Khamdong under the 17-Khamdong-Singtam constituency had expressed their deepest agreement and pleasure to the Chief Minister Pawan Chamling and Area MLA AM Prasad for supporting and guiding to start with the home stay tourism at their villages.

It is said that a total of 20 home stays will be constructed in the constituency, with 10 each at Rabdang and 10 will be at Khamdong village informed the locals of the village.

The attitude of the government and the support will immensely help both the villages in the overall development of the area added Feroj Lohagan, an educated youth and said that they will be doing the other necessary assessment of the home stays. He also said that with the advent of the village tourism, the culture, tradition, the livelihood of the people will bear importance.
