Sikkim: CM launches Veterinary Clinic Vans

Gangtok, 23 July, 2012:

The Chief Minister of Sikkim launched five mobile Veterinary Clinic Vans for different districts under Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Service Department.

The vans have been launched to provide rural animal health care delivery for specified areas with team of veterinary professionals and para-professional staff, supportive equipment and Veterinary medicines in order to provide preventive, curative services as well as breeding facilities which would provide prompt animal health care and service at the door step of the people, disease surveillance, monitoring of livestock and poultry disease and to create awareness about modern technology for improving productivity with a view to uplift the socio economic status of the people living in rural areas and inaccessible pockets.
