Sikkim: Singtam Bridge awaits inauguration

Singtam, July 13, 2012:

The newly constructed bridge over the Teesta River which connects Singtam with the Adarsh Goan till date awaits its inauguration. Though the bridge has not been formally inaugurated, the people have started utilizing it and for some vehicles it has become a Parking place.

The bridge constructed by a contractor from Namchi, MP Agarwal, has been funded by the Government of India, DONER, NLCP, and the construction amount totals up to Rs 1337 lacs. The construction of the bridge had started on 10th January, 2007.
