Gangtok, Nov 2: The Central executive body of All Sikkim Government Work Charged (ASGWC) and Muster Roll (MR) Employees’ Association met Mr RB Subba, Minister for Roads and Bridges department today. On the occasion Ms Pema Doma Bhutia, President of the Association informed the Minister about the grievances and problems of MR Employees in the Roads and Bridges department. She thanked the Minister for upgradation of MR Workers in job responsibilities. Some employees got their promotion after fifty years, she added . She expressed her gratitude that the ruling Government has increased salaries of the M R employees.

The minister appealed all employees to contribute in the Government’s effort to make Sikkim a poverty free state. He said that every Association should understand the principles and policy of the state Government. Sikkim is the most peaceful state in the country and people have to support the Government to maintain the peace for good. It’s every citizen’s duty to maintain the peace in the state he said. The Government has been working for the upgradation of the employees for many years. The minister assured to work for the employees benefit in future as well.
