Gangtok, Feb. 1, 2011:

17th Karmapa, Ugen Trinley Dorjee is a spiritual leader and has no connection with China. It is due to misunderstanding and lack of communication Karmapa is facing problems stated the spokesperson of Karmapa Reception Committee (KRC) Thukchuk Lachungpa in a press conference organised in the capital today.

Mr. Lachungpa said that the committee will be holding a meet on 5th February at Guards ground, Tathengchen where the devotees from across the state will be present. During the meet the devotees of the state will be passing out various proposals upon which the future course of action will be initiated in regards to Karmapa issue. The devotees of 17th Karmapa in the state will also sit for hunger strike in protest of false allegation upon his holiness.

The spokesperson said that during the raid the police did not find any clue or documents as proof to prove any link of His Holiness with China and the Chinese currency recovered during the raid were all donated by the devotees, followers from China . He stressed that the devotees of 17th Karmapa across the globe are in full faith that the justice will be met with positive results and Karmapa will be given clean cheat by the investigating agencies.

The account manager of His Holiness is facing allegations due to lack of proper maintenance of His Holiness’ account and informed that KRC is still in contact with Dharmasala committee too. About 425 devotees form Sikkim today moved to Delhi.
