GANGTOK, June 6:
As per the directions received from Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) central committee the General Secretary of BJP Sikkim Unit Mr. Padam Sharma staged a Dharna at MG Marg in front of Mahatma Gandhi statue on 6th of June. But after ten minutes police reached at the spot and detained Mr. Sharma on the ground of not having prior permission.

Speaking to the media Mr. Sharma informed that BJP strongly condemns the inhuman behavior of UPA government against Baba Ramdev and his supporters at Ramlila Maidan in New Delhi on 4th June. Protesting against the atrocities the BJP is conducting a nation wide day long sathyagraha. In respect to this BJP Sikkim unit also sat on Dharna and supported the cause of Baba Ramdev. Baba Ramdev is fighting to bring back black money laundered in the foreign banks to India along with making the nation corruption free. It is the time to unite and make the nation corruption free and Sikkim being a part of India corruption exist here also, BJP Sikkim Unit appeals to all the Sikkimese to come forward and protest against the rampant corruption in the state added Mr. Sharma.
