The 29 year anniversary of the attainment of Parinirvana of His Holiness the 16th Gyalwang Karmapa Rangjyung Rigpe Dorje was observed at Rumtek Jimchung of His Holiness the 14th Gyalwang Shamarpa Mipham Chokyi Lodrue, informs a press release. The solemn function witnessed offering of special prayers in memory of the great Kagyue Master who died at American International Clinic in Zion, near Chicago, Illinois, USA on the eight day of ninth Lunar month of November in 1981. The prayer was organized by Pal Karma Sangha Duche of Rumtek and was attended by monks and nuns.
