Virender Sehwag’s massive double century,219, against West Indies is the hottest topic of discussion on Twitter. Thousands of tweeple are tweeting congratulations, jokes and their reactions.

Former Pakistan player Ramiz Raja wrote on Twitter, “When Viv Richards retired I thought it was end of entertainment. But then came Sehwag, the King of entertainment! Long live the King!!”

Indian cricketer Yuvraj Singh wrote “I say it again! I never saw sir Viv (Vivian Richards) bat but I have seen Sehwag bat! What a player… 219 in a one day game is next to impossible!” .

Teammate Zaheer Khan tweeted on Sehwag’s twitter page, “Cheers! congratulations!! way to go buddy!”

Indian journalist, political commentator and news presenter Rajdeep Sardesai wrote “Sunil Gavaskar once scored 36 not out in 60 overs. Sehwag scores 200 in 45 overs. Times have surely changed.”

His last tweet was quite intresting “With due apologies to Justice Katju,Sehwag was the first headline on India at 9. Cricket over Chidambaram! gnight.”

Indian politician and a Member of Parliament (MP) from the Thiruvananthapuram, Shashi Tharoor all praises for Sehwag. “What a batsman! India’s highest Test score &now highest ODI score. My tribute in August to the ineffable Sehwag”

Vice Chairman and Managing Director, Mahindra Group, Anand Mahindra tweeted, “For someone of my vintage,seeing the Windies being humbled like this is like reading Ripley’s Believe it or not!”

English cricketer Monty Panesar wrote, “That Punjabi power! Ha ha”

Indian cricketer Amit Mishra congratulated Sehwa, “Congrats Viru bhaiya on the record. You are a joy to watch and I’m honoured to have played with you!”

ICC officially bowed for the Jat express, “Congratulations to Virender Sehwag on scoring 219, the highest ODI score of all time!”

Australian cricketer David Warner seems to be doing some home work before playing against India. He watched Sehwag’s innings despite the test next day. “Wow Test match tomorrow but am still up watching @virendersehwag score hopefully 200. UNREAL. AND HE DOES HIGHEST EVER WELL DONE MATE.”

Chris Gayle was quite on West India’s defeat but all praise for Sehwag. “Well I did watch some of that innings by Viru…. Brilliant striking!! Congrats on ur 219.. That’s child abuse! The Mask would say, Smoking!”
