United Sikkim Football Club (USFC) in collaboration with their media partner, Sikkim Express distributed 60 blankets to Mayalmu Sangh, NGO based at Tadong on Tuesday, January 3, 2012.
Editor of Sikkim Express, Amit Patro along with CEO USFC Bhaichung Bhutia, Senior Manager Arjun Rai, Coach Phillip De Ridder handed over the blankets to the chief patron of this Sangh, Thukchuk Lachungpa.
CEO USFC, Bhaichung Bhutia in the distribution function said that people of Sikkim should come forward for the cause of the state, and through NGO is one of the simplest examples. “Mayalmu Sangh needs love and care which we should give them” said Bhaichung Bhutia.
It is also learnt from the president of Mayalmu Sangh, Bindhya Gurung that the Sangh was established in 2008 and has been genuinely serving the orphans in the state. Today a total of 26 orphans have been residing in the Sangh. “The orphans need love, care and help which the Sangh has been providing till date” said Gurung.
