A coordination meet of the educated youths of South-West district was held today at Darap west Sikkim under Yangthang constituency. The political secretary to the chief minister KN Rai was present as a resource person along with Area MLA Yuksam-Tashiding Daucho Lepcha as the guest of honor. The other guests present were Area MLA Yangthang constituency PL Subba, Area MLA Zoom Salghari Madan Cintury, chairman milk union MB Rai along with the central executive members of different constituencies, panchayats and party members.

The main objective of the meeting was to coordinate a joint platform of the educated youths of South-West and to plan what next, interact on the present political scenario, mantras of self-reliance, the responsibility of the youths towards the betterment of the and state as a whole, the opportunities, the strong and the weak points of the youths, to educate the vision of the chief minister, his vision and never ending thoughts for the Sikkimese, to support and to encourage the charismatic leader Pawan Chamling in his future endeavors, and to get involve into active politics. It is learnt that this meeting was the first meeting and will organize the similar meeting in the near future in different parts of South-West districts followed by door-to-door campaign, political debate and many more. The aims was also to impart political education to those who are been misguided by some selfish and power hungry people.

Addressing 300 youths gathered from different parts of the south and west district, resource person KN Rai said that the educated youths must come forward in the development process. There are so many avenues and opportunities created by the government and one has to develop him/herself in order to meet the same. Rai said that the state under the visionary leadership of chief minister Pawan Chamling has been competing in the international level. It is his struggle in the past that today Sikkimese has respect outside the state.
How youths have to be motivated, inspired and encouraged, Rai said no one has to go far, not even in the history book the youths must understand and examine ‘Chamlingism’ which has brought a drastic and revolutionary change in the life of the every Sikkimese. Defining Chamlingism, he said it is equality among the people, security among the people, peace, responsibility, self-reliant, a system where everybody are happy and prosperous, the opportunities etc. There are no stones left unturned under his leadership.

Rai also highlighted about the anti-social elements, which are trying to defame the party. But the educated youths must answer them and protect the society from being polluted. What was Sikkim yesterday and what transformation it has gone through, is only because of the visionary leadership of Pawan Chamling he added. The youths have to be clear in his thinking with no confusion. The youths have to understand the responsibility and the duties. One has to do his/her works without any grievances and selfishness following the able leadership, simultaneously, the escalation of the youths, the society and the state as a whole will prosper.

Similarly minister Daucho Lepcha said that the youths should have patience, commitment and to be disciplined. The destination has to be crystal clear. The youths must discover his/her weak point and also the positive points for the further development. Highlighting the initiatives taken by the present government towards unemployment he said that the government specially the chief minister has been working day and night for the golden future of the Sikkimese youths. But it is also on the part of the youths to be hardworking, progressive and dedicated.

The educated youths also participated in the open house discussion where every problems pertaining to social, economic, political etc were discussed and solved.

The day was also addressed by Area MLA Yangthang PL Subba, CLC member LP Kafley, social worker also the CEC member KB Limboo, editor Sikkim Janbhumi Ranjit Tamu, editor Sikkim Mail Ashit Rai, coordinator South-West Silash Tamang and Yougen Tamang. The programme was hosted by Sushil Tamang and was organized by the Darap SDF youth wing. The next meeting of the said educated youths is learnt to be in Uttarey in West Sikkim somewhere in April.
