The concept of observing Anti-Terrorism Day was initiated to spread the message of global peace and non-violence and to Commemorate and honor the sacrifices made by thousands of solider who battled against terrorism.
May 21 is observed as Anti-terrorism day every year.
Accordingly the state of Sikkim also observed anti-terrorism day at the New Secretariat, Development Area here in the capital today. The Chief Secretary Karma Gyatso conducted Pledge of anti terrorism to all officials and staffs of the New Secretariat to oppose violence and promote peace and also campaign to further cause of combating terrorism.
Similarly, Anti Terrorism Day pledge was also administered in all the departments, districts, sub division and block offices of the state.
