A meeting of All Sikkim Youth Association was held on 2nd May in the capital under the chairmanship of the president Gyasto Lepcha.
The press release issued by the association today informs that a proposal was passed during a meeting concerning movement against the extension of government services as to provide opportunity for the educated unemployed. The extension system has been a hindrance in the way of development of the youths, hence the future of the youths are in danger. The youths today are not in a position to get job in their own State because of the extension system. The association has also appealed the government in this matter.
The retirement should be fixed at the age of 55 years instead of 58 years, further adds the release. The government servants also have to think about the future of their children. The association has also submitted a memorandum to the government on the above regard, states the release.
