Gangtok, 21 June 2012:

The Election Commissioner of India has appointed D. Rinchen, Secretary and Karma Gyatso Bhutia, Deputy Secretary, Sikkim Legislative Assembly as Assistant Returning Officer for the Presidential Election 2012.

The Secretary General of the Rajya Sabha is the Returning Officer for the Election.

The last date of making nomination is 30 June, date of scrutiny of nomination is 2 July, last date of withdrawal of Candidature is 4 July and the date of poll is 19 July, if necessary.

Necessary information, Gazette copies etc received from the Commission has been displayed on the Notice Board of the Assembly Secretariat for information of all concerned.

The voting will take place in the Committee Room of the Sikkim Legislative Assembly on 19 July, 2012 between 10.a.m to 5.p.m, as per a Press communiqué received from the Sikkim Legislative Assembly Secretariat, Gangtok.
