Gangtok, January 22, 2013:

Former State OBC board chairperson Bharati Sharma has ended her association with the ruling Sikkim Democratic Front (SDF) party. She emailed her resignation from the party’s central executive committee post and primary membership on morning.

I have emailed my resignation to the party, said Ms Sharma when contacted. She is presently out of Sikkim.

“There are many reasons for my resignation. I will be disclosing these reasons when I return back to Sikkim in a couple of days”, said Ms Sharma. When asked about her
future political moves, Ms Sharma said she would be joining the new political party
to be launched by rebel SDF legislator Prem Singh Golay.
