Three female poets of Sikkim, Sudha M. Rai, Apsara Dahal and Meena Subba, were honoured with Kamala Aanshu Smriti Sahitya Puraskar and Sahitya Samman by Littérateur Kamala Aanshu Memorial Trust here on September 15, 2013 at Nepali Sahitya Parishad Bhavan.
Poet Sudha M. Rai from Gangtok received a cash award of Rupees 7,555 along with citation, shawl and khadas. Poet Apsara Dahal from Bermoik, West Sikkim and Poet Meena Subba from Gangtok received citation, Shwal, gifts and khadas.
Born in 1968 at Kurseong Subdivision of Darjeeling, Poet Sudha M. Rai is contributing in the field Nepali literary since three decades. She has five books in here credit which includes her original works of poetry and translation of two books.
Born in Bormoik Daragaon, West Sikkim, poet Apsara Dahal has already written more than 500 poems in Nepali and she has two books in her credit which includes poetry, her favourite literary writing.
Born in Tindhariya, Kurseong, Poet Mina Subba has already written and published two books of poems who is contributing in Nepali literature since three decade and more
Their names were selected through procedure by seven members’ selection committee chaired by 89 years old senior journalist and littérateur C.D.Rai.
Renowned Nepali writer and social worker Manahanda Poudyal was the Chief Guest of the function. Nepali poet Rajendra Bhandari, Nepali poetess Shanti Chhetri and Nepali Literary figure Rudrya Poudyel, were guest of honours.
