Training on Bamboo Craft has been organised under Capacity Building of Integrated Watershed Management Programme I and II East District by the State Level Nodal Agency, Department of Forest, Environment and Wildlife Management for the duration of 45 days has been executed on 11th March here in Daragaon, Tadong.
The training was inaugurated by C.P Sharma ACF cum PIA of State Level Nodal Agency, Social Forestry along with its expert and staffs. The training will be conducted by Karna Bahadur Thapa of Red Panda Unit, Samdong.
All the participants are from different micro watershed of IWMP I and II East. They took part in the training with enthusiasm and zeal to know the better craftsmanship, so that they could improve their standard of living by selling the products of Bamboo which they will be learning during this programme.
C.P Sharma requested the participants to use their full potential during this phase of training and also give a brief about the project and other training that will be implementing in the near future.
Sharma also mentioned about the Micro Enterprise a component of the project and how it will help them to market and to sell their product after the phase of trainings in the end he requested resource person K.B. Thapa to be honest and help the participants to enhance their skills at the same time moulds them into a fine craftsman.
The participants were very much excited for the training and promised to undergo this program with full honesty and thanked the department for being such a helping hand. The participants also believe that the training on such programme would help one to improve their livelihood by making and selling the products which they will be learning during these coming days.
