NETV bureau office opens in Sikkim

GANGTOK, July 26, 2013

Press Club of Sikkim (PCS) president Bhim Rawat on July 23 inaugurated the fullfledged bureau office of North East Television (NETV) for Sikkim here at Tibet Road.

NETV is the first private satellite channel beamed from the Northeast region since 2003. Sikkim has been a major constituent of the NETV bureau office for Sikkim news contents of the channel and its 6 network channels since NETV started its operations here in 2009.

NETV is the only Indian satellite channel with a dedicated Nepali news bulletin broadcasted daily.

NETV Sikkim bureau chief Chewan Krishna Dahal and cameraman Subash Gurung attended the inauguration function witnessed by journalists working here in Gangtok.
