Rangpo correspondent Mr Sanjay Agarwal has received Maharana Pratap Rastriya Ekta Samman by Rastriya Kala and Sanskriti Parisad at Haldighati Rajasthan on the eve of Hindi week.
Agarwal received the award in the presence of more than 400 renowned social workers, spiritual leaders, writers, poets from all over 20 states of India.
Mr V K Singh, Chancellor of Krishi Vishvavidhyalaya, Udaipur, Mr Indra Prakash Srimali, former Joint Direcotr, Akashwani, renowned writer Dr Bhagawati Lal Vyas and Dr Devendra Nath Saha, Chancellor of Vikram Sila University graced the occasion as the Chief Guest, Special Guest, Special Guests respectively.
The Chief Guest presented memento, shawl and certificate to Mr Agarwal, Dr Amar Singh Badhan, programme coordinator cum general secretary of Rstriya Kala and Sanskriti Parisad.
Addressing the gathering, the Chief Guest congratulated all the awardees. He said that 20 youths from across the country were selected by the Parisad Award Committee for the Rastriya Ekta Samman by showing their contributions in the field of development of Hindi language and regional languages from different sector.
In his welcome address, Dr Mohan Srimali, President of the Parisad, said that the awarded youths are the back bone of the country and they are also the model for the country.
He appealed every citizen to be more serious on the preservation of mother-tongue language, culture and tradition.
