SDF to organise awareness rally in Namchi

Gangtok, September 6, 2013

SDF organised a meeting here on September 5 to plan for its upcoming youth coordination meeting and an awareness rally in Namchi. The meeting will be organised at the Veterinary ground of Singithang Namchi on September 9.

At the meeting, the District Working Committee congratulated MLA Tilu Gurung and Tulshi Devi Rai for having been presented with Yuva Gaurav Award recently. Initially, the meeting also thanked the resource persons and members who coordinated in the recently concluded Yuva Jagaran Karyakram or Youth Awareness Meet in South District.

The meeting also resolved to felicitate Anand Gurung of Damthang South Sikkim, an Everester who represented Sikkim in the recently held “North East on top of the world with Everester Kazi Sherpa”.

The president of working committee South District Gagan Rai during the meeting appealed the party members and youths to carry the rally in a disciplined manner.

The meeting was also attended by area MLA Binod Rai and MLA Madan Cinturi, Minister CB Karki along with the Chairman, Sikkim Tea Board, Gagan Rai, Chairman, Ecclesiastical Department, Lakpa Ghising, Adakshya (S) CL Gurung, Upadakshya, Devi Maya Baraily, RN Rai, Secretary SDF Working Committee, South along with the former minister Aita Singh Baraily, Cheli Morcha and youths.
