Sikkim’s players to take part in North East Games, 2011

A team of sixteen Karate players and six Table Tennis players is all set for the upcoming 25th North East Games, 2011 which is scheduled to kick start from 25 to 30 April at Arunachal Pradesh.

A sixteen member team of Karate with their team coach Bidhan Ballav Subba and Team Manager Kul Hari Rai, and a six member team of Table Tennis along with their officer Tshering Topgay are leaving for the tournament on 22nd April.

Publicity Secretary, Sikkim Karate Association (SKA) Bhim Subba informed the media that Karate is doing very well in the North-East Games every year, it was able to fetch 5 gold,5 silver and 4 bronze in the North East Games held at Shillong last year and this time also they are hoping for a good performance.

Similarly six Table Tennis players are also selected on merit basis to take part in the tournament.
