Changay (Pakyong Sub-Division) defeated Zamindar (Rai Goan Ranka) with 36points against 5 points today in the 2nd President’s Cup Bamboo Archery Tournament 2011 which is being played at Sikkim Archery Association (SAA) ground, Tathengchen organized by Sikkim Archery Association (SAA).
After being victorious, the captain of Changay team, Mr. Dagey Bhutia expressed his heartfelt happiness and delightedly thanked the association (SAA) for inviting them in the tournament as they were taking part in this competition for the first time and without the invitation from SSA they could not have participated. Adding further Mr. Bhutia said that since 7 years, he has been in this field and expressing his happiness said that “Well! It’s good to take part in the traditional game where it could bring the players together.” Similarly on 26th January the match played between Mamring Gumpa and Pakyong, Mamring Gumpa was victorious with 34points against 28.
On 28th January, the match will be played between Yawachi and Chochen at Sikkim Archery Association (SAA) ground, Tathengchen.
