Mr. Binu Sundas from Sikkim University will be heading to Hiroshima University, Japan on 23rd July under exchange programme for young researcher. Mr. Sundas will return on 30th September after completing two months long research programme in Japan
Mr Sundas will be researching on cardamom with professor of Hiroshima University Dr. Akimasa Fujiwara and Mr. Keshab Maharajan during his visit.
Informing the media Mr. Sundas stated that due to climate change Sikkim has been facing problems in cardamom cultivation since few years and in addition he will also work on a research project on climate change issue and its impact too. Adding more Mr. Sundas said that two student from Sikkim University had visited Japan last year for research too.
