The Minister for HRDD, Shri NK Pradhan innaugurated the Commerce Stream  at Samdong Sr. Secondary School in East Sikkim on 3rd August. The school did not have commerce stream till now since its upgradation to Senior Secondary level. During the recent tour of the Chief Minister the school has been provided with the same.

The  Minister was accompanied by area MLA Tumin-Lingee cum Chief Whip, Shri, Ugen T Gyatso Bhutia, BDO Tintek, Mr. Tenzing Dorjee Denzongpa, former MLA, Mr. Norjang Lepcha, zilla member Mrs. Saraswati Regmi, panchayat members and SMC members during the function along with the staff of the school and the students.

While briefing the teachers after the inauguration, the minister highlighted on quality education and informed that as far as  students  are concerned, they should be given quality education so that they do not only become educated but also turn out to be good human beings in the future. He also appreciated them for having chosen the most noble profession of teavhing and urged them to do their duty deligintly and in a dedicated manner. He also called on to all the members of the society to understand their duty and responsibility and contribute for a better future of the students and the State as a whole.
