The five days long Gutur Prayers and Kagyed Cham (Dance) being held at Dzogchen Tensung Monastery at Rakdong will be concluding on 4th of January, 2011 with Tulku Pema Kundrol Rimpoche bestowing the Wang to the devotees where the Gutur Cham and the prayers will also be held The Kagyed Cham which at this Monastery has been witnessed after 32 years by the Dupla Champa and the General Public of Rakdong.
The Cham started from 1st of January 2011. On the first day having Takcham where the monks usually dance without wearing costumes for their final selection for the next day’s performance. The Kagyed Cham was performed along with the Chomchey Cham, usually the Chomchey Cham (Dance) is being perform in order to eliminate the obstacles and to defend oneself from bad incidents. The Cham are performed after having special prayers “Takdung Khelkor” held in the Monastery by around 100 monks including Omje Dorjee Lopon and Tsultrimpha along with the lamas from Simick Gumpa.
