Nima Lhamu Bhutia of Mangalbari has been shortlisted to attend the coaching camp for preparation of Indian Women’s Senior Football Team. This team is being prepared by All India Football Federation (AIFF) for the Olympic Qualifier 2011. The coaching will last till 30th Nov 2010. She has reached Lucknow where All India Football Federation is conducting the course.
Nima Bhutia has represented India U-19 women’s team and played matches at Dhaka, Bangladesh last month. While talking to media Menla Ethenpa, Gen. Secy., Sikkim Football Association (SFA) said that the association will felicitate her for her performance in the final of the ongoing Governor’s Gold Cup. Mr. Ethenpa further called upon other Sikkimese girls to take inspiration from Nima Bhutia and make Sikkim proud. He said that the Sikkimese girls have ample chance to represent India.
