Siniolchu (Namchi) and Brotherhood Football Club (Ranipool) registered one more victory in the ongoing second division Sikkim-League football tournament being played at Paljor Stadium on 31st July.
In the matches played on Sunday in the league, Siniolchu defeated Tathangchen Football Association while Brotherhood FC thrashed Denzong Boys (Junior). In the first match, Suren Chettri scored the first goal in the 22nd minute followed by his teammate, Tshering Zangpo’s goal in the 35th minute but within 3 minutes, Tsetiz Subba of Tathangchen minimised the goal margin with his goal in the 38th minute. In the second half, Mayal Lepcha scored the third and winning goal for Siniolchu.
In the second match, with the help of braces by Avinash Subba, Rohit Ansari and Sanjit Subba Brotherhood FC registered one more victory in the league. Smile Lepcha opened the goal account for BFC in the 15th minute, then his teammates Abinash Chettri in the 22nd minute, Rohit Ansari in the 42nd minute and Sanjit Subba in the 44th minute added goals before the half-time of the match.
However, a good goal scored by Sukbir Rai of Denzong Boys in the 38th minute gave some relief to the team. But in the second half, BFC’s Abhinash Chettri in the 52nd minute, Sanjit Subba in the 61st minute and Rohit Ansari in the 66th minute completed their brace and tagged the victory for the team.
