Hello,
My dad, B.U. Krishnamurthy was the national champion last year in the 70+ category. He was very enthusiastic about this event this year, and traveled all the way from karnataka to participate this year. However he lost to a guy who had basically fudged his credentials and hence could not reach the finals. The person was actually 68, and participated in the 70+ category. At the minimum my dad should have been given a fair chance to play with a re-match offered. the organizers did none of that. It’s sad that some individuals bring such disgrace to the country and the event organizers. I’ll use every opportunity to convery this message to the whole world.
Looking for some justice here!

Had we come to know about this sad thing, we would have at least done a story on it and forwarded your complaint to the higher authorities. We don’t promise anything by saying this but being media, we believ it’s a responsibility of ours to highlight such arbitrariness, at least in Sikkim.
Anyway, we wish your father continues his sporting spirit.

It was a wonderful moments for every sports and games lovers to know about the national level TT tournament being held at Gangtok. But surprisingly, there were very little news about it in the local leading news papers… ( Just a few lines seen mentioning v.briefly )
I think the medias and the close associates need to work little more to propagate and to highlight the national events which was organised here at our place for the first time.
After all its a question and the future of our budding players who might one day keep our name high in the field of sports and games.
Take it easy…
