C.K. Basnet, Vice President TTFI and the President Sikkim Table Tennis Association has been nominated by the Table Tennis Federation of India to represent India as a Manager of the Indian Sub junior Team in the International Table Tennis Global Cadet Challenge being held at San Juian Pureto Rica, USA from the 14th of January to 23rd of January 2012.

Besides Basnet the team is being represented by Maria Reddy, Abishek Yadav, Soumujit Ghosh, Harmeet Desai and Sunil Dange (Umpire).

Basnet has been appointed as the team manager of Indian team during 19th Asian Table Tennis Championship held at Lucknow (UP). Besides these the Government of India through TTFI has deputed Basnet during the 19th Commonwealth Games which was held in New Delhi during October 2010. Basnet has been continuously representing the National and Zonal Championship of the state team in all the categories i.e. Cadet, Sub Junior and Senior teams.

The State Team is representing 73rd Jr. National TT Championship held at Siliguri, North Bengal from 3rd to 8th January 2012 and also representing the 73rd Senior National TT Championship at Lucknow, U.P. from 23rd to 29th January 2012.
