Baichung Bhutia’s United Sikkim Football Club (USFC) defeated Bhawanipur FC 3-2 goals on Thursday in their first match of I-League 2nd Division at Silcher, Assam.

Strikers Daniel Bidemi, BabaTunde John and K. Romen Singh scored for USFC. The first goal was scored by Baba Tunde in 41st minute, whereas second goal was scored by Daniel Bidemi in 68th minute. The third goal came from Ramen Singh in 75th minute.

Apart from Wednesday’s match, United Sikkim will play five more matches. The next match of United Sikkim is scheduled against Eagles on Saturday 04/02/12.

On day 1 of I-League Second Division matches played on Wednesday, February 1, 2012 six matches were played.

Group 1:

Ar-Hima defeated Aizawl 3 – 1, Southern Samity routed Eagles 3 – 0

Group 2:

Royal Wahingdoh defeated Samaleswari 2 – 0, SESA Football defeated Kenkre 1 – 0

Group 3:

Mohammedan thrashed KGF Academy 4 – 1 and Vasco SC drew 1 – 1 against PIFA Colaba.

On Thursday Day 2 of the I-League Second Division Group 3 matches Golden Threads lost 1 – 3 to Langsning. The match between Luangmual and Simla Youngs ended in a goalless draw. In Group 2 matches played in Cuttack Quartz lost 0 – 4 to Gauhati Town Club but Kalighat won 2 – 1 against Techno Aryan. In group only one match was played today in which United Sikkim defeated Bhwanipore.
