Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) Sikkim Unit is serious regarding corruption issue and has plans to keep continued the movement in Sikkim.
While addressing the media on 29th May President BJP Sikkim Unit Mr. Padam Chettri informed that regarding the upfront money they had written a letter to the Chief Secretary, Government of Sikkim along with the Chairman of R.K Patra Commission. Mr. Chettri further mentioned that they had sent it a month before with one month ultimatum for looking into the issue as early as possible but added that till date no action has been taken. He further added that now BJP will file a criminal case against the Chief Secretary and Chairman of R.K Patra Commission. Mr. Chettri adding further stated that concerned department failed to take action against the criminals and added that BJP Party has also submitted a reminder letter to concerned department Secretaries and Chairman on 28th May.
Mr. Chettri further alleged that Chief Secretary and the Chairman are also involved in the crime and because of their involvement none of the Secretaries have submitted their report to the State Government.
Mr. Chettri also said that according to CAG report the corruption in the state is huge and that the BJP Sikkim Unit will carry on their peaceful movement against corruption and keep continuing it till the culprits are booked. Corruption is becoming a major problem in the country, considering the same the BJP is serious in the issue and every possible step are being carried out nation wide.
Mr. Chettri further informed that around Rs. 6 crores has been misused in the power project and the unit has already submitted a memorandum to the Chief Secretary and Chairman of RK Patra commission but the enquiry is still awaited.
