Work is worship: CM P.K. Chamling

“Work is worship and hardworking people like labours should always use the rights and shoulder their responsibilities” said the Chief Minister Mr. Pawan Chamling on the occasion of May Day.

Addressing a huge gathering at Lametaar, Temi Namthing of South Sikkim, he also apprised the people about how the government has been doing so much for the hardworking labours who need to be treated with respect and given the dignity of labour which they richly deserve.

Mr. Chamling also appealed to them to change their mindset and work hard and use the rights and the facilities provided to them by the government to the optimum.

On the occasion he also announced that from now on all the labours will be provided with LPG Connections, and further added that he has always been pro poor and the schemes of the government has also been the same and the people should actively participate and work in tandem with the government to usher the state towards the path of prosperity.

The Chief Minister also informed that he and his government will work relentlessly for the better future and benefit of the labours and the working class people of the state.

He also vowed to fulfill the demands made by the area MLA about the quarters for the labours of Temi Tea Garden, Community hall in the constituency and solve the problem of drinking water in the area and renovate the Temi Junior High school

Earlier the function began with the welcome address by the area MLA Mr. B.S Pant and the Vice president of All Sikkim Democratic Labour Front Mr. B.M Ramudamu also addressed the gathering and highlighted the work done by the front and the government for the benefit of the labour and the working class people of the state.

The function also saw cultural show presented by the students of the area and self help groups.
