Disciples from 42 different countries around the world gathered for the second day of Spring Teachings given by His Holiness the Karmapa at the Vajra Vidya Institute in Sarnath. Building upon the theme of how one can becomes a good person. His Holiness explained that the development of compassion gives us the opportunity to use this one limited lifetime to benefit a limitless number of beings and if we use this perspective to measure our transient lives, we should not waste even one single moment. He went on to say that even if our efforts to use our body and speech to positively impact the world are ineffectual, we should attempt to cultivate goodness in our minds with the confidence that the mere presence of a good person is a great contribution to the world.

In the evening, His Holiness the Karmapa led led several hundred Tibetan Buddhist monks and nuns in an extensive and special puja in observance of the March 10th Lhasa uprising anniversary.
