Founder of Rolep Higher Secondary School passes away

Mr Bir Bahadur Rai the founder of Rolep Higher Secondary School passed away on 29th April, 2011. He was admitted at STNM Hospital at the time of his demise. Late Rai was born in the year 1938 and he is survived by his wife, two daughters and four sons. Till the age of 73 Late Rai served his society and was instrumental in the establishment of Rolep Higher Secondary School as he not only donated the land but also established the school building himself.he had donated the land for the school on 19th September, 1993. One of the first teacher of the school was Late Phurba Sherpa who used to get Rs 150/- as salary in his initial days as a teacher. Mr Rai was not only a good citizen but an active member of SDF Party and one of its founder members. In him the society has lost a great human being and an exemplary citizen. The SDF party has also expressed its condolences over the sad demise of Mr Rai and has prayed that his soul rest in peace.
