North Regu JHS conducts SMC and Guardian meets

Rongli: North Regu School, East, under Regu BAC organized a School Managing Committee cum Guardian meeting on 14th June 2011, Tuesday at the school. The meeting was presided by D.K. Rai, Zilla President Member.
The purpose of the meeting was reconstitution of SMC, to provide administrative information and to make familiar with guardians and other stakeholder of education about the new dimension of education i.e. CCA and RTE.

The meeting was attended by Assistant Director, HRDD/BAC Regu, along with CRC Coordinator, Resource Person and Volunteer (Inclusive Education) Zilla Panchayat member, Panchayat Secretary Regu GPU, former SMC members, Guardians, local villagers, Headmaster and staff.

Uddav Gopal Shresta, Headmaster of the school gave the welcome speech that was followed by the D. K. Rai, Zilla Panchayat member/former President, SMC dissolving the previous SMC. A new School Managing Committee was also formed in the course of the meeting. Headmaster placed the school report in his speech and highlighted about the utilization of SSA grants of 2010-11 and grants received by the school in this year.
He requested to parents for enrolment and continued attendance of all the children in the school. As school is located at remote village it will take two hours by foot from Rongli even that we have been able to manage all with the help of local people, he added.

Donkala Tshering Bhutia, Resource Person (Inclusive education) made aware of the inclusive education, CWSN of age group 6-14 years and different plan under SSA to uplift such children. She requested for cooperation to the gathering.

Krishna Pd. Dawari, CRC Coordinator, highlighted the rules of reconstitution of SMC and their significance and function. He informed about the schemes under SSA. Dawari also made aware of Continuous and Comprehensive Assessment (CCA), residential bridge course for dropouts students and quality education.

Chador Bhutia, Assistant Director, HRDD /Regu BAC made aware of RTE to the gathering. He also informed about Mid-day meal, Chief Minister Merit scholarship, Prena and other scholarship scheme for bright students, training for teachers and other administrative information. Further he encouraged the teachers and parents to obtain opportunity of different scholarships scheme. Deepak Rai AEO, could not attend the meeting because of official work at BAC but he has been supporting in every work, he added. Assistant Director also inspected class rooms and MDM kitchen shed. He expressed satisfaction over the school management and performance.

The meeting was also addressed by Chairperson of the meeting D.K. Rai, Zilla Panchayat member. He shared his experience with this school and requested the guardians to take part for development of the school. The prizes of quiz competition were also distributed by the hand of AD, HRDD/BAC Regu. The programme was conducted by Deepak Sharma, Teacher of the school. `
