GANGTOK, June 6:
Karmapa Reception Committee is misguiding the followers and Buddhist community in state because they are saying “Tibetan Buddhism” but it is actually Indo-Tibetan Buddhism were the opening address of the President, Sikkim Karmapa Committee (SKC) Mr. Wangdi Tshering Lama during a press conference held here in Gangtok, Sikkim on 6th of June. Mr. Lama said that they do not agree with the decision of the Karmapa Reception Committee and they will always oppose the decision of the bringing the 17th Karmapa in Sikkim.

Ugyen Trinley Dorjee is not the real, true Karmapa as Central Government is yet to recognize Ugyen Trinley Dorjee as the true 17th Karmapa and in addition central government still holds a view that Ugyen Trinley Dorjee may be a Chinese spy too.
Mr. Lama further informed that the Sikkim Karmapa Committee was formed on 6th April 2011 and it started operating with effect from 30th May 2011 on the eve of birth anniversary of 17th Karmapa Dawa Sangpo Dorjee. The committee comprises of 18 executive members who are working to create awareness among the Buddhist followers regarding Buddhism and specially Karmapa in order to remove the ignorance and misguidance from the Buddhist followers of state.

The executive members mainly focuses on any voice raised by Sikkim Karmapa Committee regarding original Karmapa from Sikkim to be the voice of the people of Sikkim and the devotees of Karmapa around the world.

Sikkim Karmapa Committee is committed to work with strong determination in order to enthrone the true Karmapa in Rumtek Dharma Chakra Centre as early as possible considering the peace and prosperity of the world. Furthermore Mr. Lama added that “If Ugyen Trinly Dorjee, one of the claimants of 17th Karmapa wants to come to Sikkim then he must face spiritual test with Dawa Sangpo Dorjee the other Sikkimese Karmapa claimant”.

Adding more Mr. Lama strongly condemned the inhuman behavior of UPA Government in New Delhi on 4th June towards Ramdev Baba and his disciples.
