GANGTOK, JULY 10:
In a match played on Sunday in the 2nd Division Sikkim League at Paljor Stadium Denzong Boys (Junior) defeated RYSFC (Middle Arithang) 4-1. In the second match Brotherhood FC (Ranipool) thrashed Bhaley Dara FC (West) 8-1. Passang Wangdi scored a quick brace in the 5th and 6th minute of the match for Denzong Boys; however Bishal Rai of RYSFC (Middle Arithang) tried to bring down the margin with his goal in the 14th minute. While the match was continuing with the same score-line of 2-1, Chandra Prakash added one more goal for Denzong Boys in the 62nd minute for the victory of Denzong boys.
The second match was almost one sided and fully dominated by Brotherhood FC players, who made continuous attack since the starting of the match. Milan Lepcha opened the goal account for Brotherhood with his score in the 8th and 12th minute followed by another goal from Sanjit Subba in the 15th and 25th minute and his teammate, Sangam Tamang, added one more goal in the 45th minute respectively.
Topden Lepcha gave some relief to Bhaley Dara FC with his goal in the 49th minute but within four minutes Smile Rai scored sixth goal for Brotherhood in the 53rd minute and soon Sanjit Subba completed his hat trick in the 60th minute followed by his fourth goal in the 66th minute respectively.
Likewise, Young Star (Bojoghari) defeated Tibetan Youth Club and FC United (Jorethang) victor over GVSFA (Central Pendam) in the matchs played in the league on Saturday. Buddhi Raj Rai scored an early goal for Young Star in the 1st minute of the match, while his teammate Kamal Bagdas scored the second goal in the 66th minute where as the Tibetan YC players were not able to score any goal.
In the second match, For FC United, Sanjeev Rai scored goals in the 9th and 25th minute, where as Santosh BK in the 14th minute and Bikash Thapa in the 39th minute.
The lone goal for GVSFA (Central Pendam) was scored by Reshav Gurung in the 53rd minute.
Next matches in the league will be played on 13 July as scheduled and during the match, Lower Arithang FC will take on Young Star FC (Bojoghari) followed by the second match between Sinolchu (Namchi) and Denzong Boys (Junior).
