MANGAN, August 1:

Panchayat Yuva Khel Krida Abhiyan (PYKKA) sports, sponsored by Government of India in collaboration with State Government was held at Ringhem-Nampatam GPU started on July 27th at MSSS School ground and the programme was attended by the Zilla Panchayat, and all Panchayats of the GPU.

Yesterday, the event concluded with i.e. Football, athletics, boxing, kho kho and badminton. On the final day U/14 category Ringhim Vs U- Singhik football former scored 3-2, in girls Ringhim scored 4 towards U Singhik. The Chief Guest for the day, Area MLA, TW Lepcha chaired the concluding day coordinated by DM North, SK Pradhan, MNP Councilor, PK Malu. This year every GPU were handed over Rs.50,000 budgets to organize PYKKA sports at every GPU level.

The Chief Guest on the occasion said that, this PYKKA programme is for rural youths and they should give interest in sports which provides physical strength and improves their sport skills.

All the winner participants were handed over the certificates, token and trophies by the chief guest.
