A weeklong Sri Ganesh Mahotsav kicked off on Thursday here at Rangpo mandi bazaar with a huge shobha yatra (rally) and kalash yatra. The yatra was taken out from Rangpo Indrakil Prayag covering holy Teesta river , Rangpo fatak line including Rangpo upper bazaar and dispersed at the same venue where the yatra started.

The yatra was participated by more than 500 devotees including members of
different NGO’s and clubs. Area MLA cum Minister for Industries Department Miss. Neeru Sewa accompanied by the ward councilor Bikash Kumar Prasad also participated.

It was informed by one of the active organizing committee member Sudhir Chettri that the local spiritual organization will start conducting different types of programmes during the evening hour considering mahotsav weeklong spiritual programme. Adding more Mr. Chettri further informed that special arrangements have been made by the organizing committee for the devotees visiting the pandals during the celebration.
