Prof Mahendra P Lama, Vice Chancellor of Sikkim University has been invited to participate in the prestigious Fulbright-Nehru International Education Administrators Seminar.

This is the first cohort from India which will be visiting the eminent Universities and Colleges in Washington DC, Philadelphia and New York. The 12 member team from India during their 15 days stay in the USA will be meeting and interacting with the key university administrators and officials responsible for international programs and activities at these prestigious universities as informed in a press release.

The two-week visit will enable participants to learn about various facets of U.S. higher education, including the types of institutions, accreditation, curriculum development, fund raising, student services and international education on U.S. campuses, as well as share knowledge on Indian higher education. Topics addressed during visits and meetings at select campuses and organizations will also include research collaborations, faculty and student exchanges, and study abroad. Among the Universities and colleges this team will visit George Washington University, community colleges like Montgomery College in Germantown in Maryland, George Mason University, Georgetown University, Bryn Mawr College, California Institute of Technology at Haverford College, Philadelphia University, City University of New York-Hunter, New York University and many other institutions.
