Sikkimese duo sensation Remanti Rai and Robin Mukhia clinched the title of ‘North East Ke Super Star’ in both the category. The Grand Finale of this reality show was held on 12th November at Guwahati.
A conference of Remanti-Robin fans club for North East Ke Super Star was held today here in the capital Gangtok. Addressing the media chief patron of the club Thukchuk Lachungpa informed that this is the victory of Sikkim and Sikkimese people. It is the dedication and the prayers of the people that have helped the duo to gain victory, this will in turn lead to the encouragement to the youngsters, he added. Similarly advisor Kiran Rasaily informed that they will be organizing a felicitation programme sooner for the duo.
North East Ke Super Star programme had begun from February 2011. Among ten participants from the state, the duo had been successful in reaching the finale. A total of eighty from different North-east states participated in the competition.
Advisor Chunnilal Ghimiray said that the duo were hard-working and they have got their price. There are lots of other talents in the state who does not get the platform, and we must encourage them, he added. We have
to encourage to our own artist and there are many talents in the state but due to lack of opportunity they could not show their talents.
Robin Mukhia in the finale performed Maruni dance which is traditional dance of Nepali community. The duo are likely to reach Sikkim on 15th November 2011.
During the occasion Dr. Uday Chettri, Chief convener Mrs. D.K Lepcha and president of Press club of Sikkim Mr. Bhim Rawat were also present.
