This is very shocking and sad to write about the SNTM that Sikkim govt has tried best to give the best facilities in Sikkim but due to the careless of some of the doctors the life of the people are in risk. Recently my brother was suffering from a disease and the went to see doc in STNM. we visited skin doc and the day was monday. The doctor held a magnifying lense and tried to investigate the cause of the disease in my brother. Actually my brother was alcoholic so he is having kind of complication. Doc gave two free sample ointments and prescribed to apply. It was strange for me to see kind of treatment. Then I requested the doctor to check his blood pressure and sugar level then she told me that there is no need of checking. When I insist she wrote small note in the site of the card and then we went to check the blood. Then we are told that the machine is out of order and it takes few days to repair. In a state there is no other machine to check the blood and its very pathetic. Then we went to RUchi diagnostic and then tested the samples. Next day we visited private doctor H P Marda and he investigated in detail. He measured blood pressure and fund that the BP is 170/110 which is quite high and we showed the blood report to him and fund that the sugar level is 180. The he suggested for some further test and found that there is high uric acid in his blood and also less calcium. Therefore now I have less trust on few docs of the STNM who are interested in their service and their private clinic. May God bless them. If anyone read this article then kindly do give your feedback and try to raise the voice against such useless doctors.I have respect for some doctors always but not for all. Therefore Sikkim Govt has to maintain the standard of the hospital.
