Block Administrative Centre, Pakyong in collaboration with CCDU, SIRD, organised a day long programme on the occasion of World Water Day at Community Hall, Pakyong. The programme, organised with a view to generate awareness among students and public about the judicious use of water, was based on the theme, ‘Water & Food Security’.

Ajay Rai, SDPO Pakyong was present on the occasion as Chief Guest, while AD, HRDD, Pakyong was present as Special Guest. The programme was also attended by Panchayats and officials under BAC Pakyong.

BDO Pakyong, Dhiraj Subedi, while delivering welcome address, highlighted the importance of the day. Likewise, AE Pakyong BAC, Rudra Pokhrel, demonstrated and explained the working of Electro-Chlorinator.

The programme was also marked with quiz competition conducted by APO Pakyong and drawing competition among school children of the nearby schools. The programme conducted by Ms. Ganga Bhandari, Field Facilitator, BAC Pakyong ended with distribution of Prizes to the winning participants.
