Skill-upgradation facilities to educated youths of Sikkim

Gangtok, 1 October 2012:

The Government of Sikkim will provide skill-upgradation facilities to the educated youths of the state for different exam preparations and to carry out higher studies after cracking tests like CAT, TOEFL, GRE, GMAT etc.

Opportunities are open for the youths who want to take film making, fashion, fine art and journalism.

Through the Skill Development Scheme State Government has organized vocational trainings for educated unemployed youth within the State and outside. Since its establishment in 2007 up to the end of the financial year 2010‐11, 1487 students have been provided training under the scheme at a cost of Rs.1171.28 lakhs(average of Rs.78,768.00 per student.
