Rangpo, 25 October 2012:

Marwadi Yuva Manch of Rangpo area of Sikkim celebrated the Vijayadasami  festival in unique and grand manner.

Children wearing the dresses of lord Rama, Sita, Hanuman and Shiva participated in the rall,y taking placards  in their hands for awareness against drugs. In Rangpo for the first time in the Vijayadasami festival, the effigy of Ravana  was burnt.

A grand rally was organised in Rangpo taking placards in their hand  giving lesson regarding not to take drugs, formation of good society, female infanticide, dowry system etc.

A big effigy of Ravana writing ten slogan in ten heads was also taken in the rally.

The Manch has decided to organise such programmes regularly from next year in more traditional way and grand manner .
