Sikkim Krantikari Morcha office launched at Lall Bazaar

GANGTOK, February 26, 2013

The new SKM party constituency level office was on February 25 inaugurated by party secretary general MK Subba here at Lall Bazaar with a call for youths to join its founding slogan of a ‘Parivartan’.

“SKM has been formed to give proper direction to the youths and delegate governance power to them. Youths are the assets of Sikkim and the power to run the State”, said Subba in his address.

The SKM secretary general shared further principles of the party. Our party will present an environment in Sikkim where all sections of the society can live independently, he said. He accused the ruling SDF party of suppressing the Sikkimese society with a ‘divide and rule’ policy.

Subba also refuted the allegations leveled on the SKM workers for attacking the Chief Minister’s convoy at Tadong on February 11.

“The allegation of throwing bottles on the Chief Minister’s convoy is false. Our party workers have not committed such act”, he said questioning why 13 SKM workers were arrested for the alleged bottle pelting incident.

Speaking on the occasion, SKM vice president TN Dhakal commented that no change beneficial to the people has come in Sikkim. SKM will work to united the fragmented Sikkimese society and take Sikkim ahead in a path of development, he said.

The function was also addressed by SKM functionaries Phuchung Bhutia, YT Lepcha, Nilu Chettri, Shanti Sharma, Chewang Dadul Bhutia, former Parliamentarian PT Gyatmso and others.

The SKM has so for established a dozen party offices including three zonal and nine constituency level offices.
