On the auspicious occasion of Pang Lhabsol on 21st August, 2013, Governor of Sikkim, Shriniwas Patil and First Lady extend their warm greetings to all the people of Sikkim.

The Governor said, “The signing of treaty of blood-brotherhood between the Lepcha Chieftain, Thekong Thek and the Bhutia leader, Khye-Bum-Sa is the strong foundation on which peace and amity that prevails in Sikkim today, rests. Over the years, it has embraced all the communities in the State and is therefore one of the most important festivals in the State today”.
